June Tent Party Raises More Than $70,000 for St. Anthony Community Hospital and Warwick Valley Rotary

Proceeds From Party Advance Local Health Care And Rotary Club Activities

Warwick, N.Y. (June 20, 2016) –More than 320 Warwick community members joined together on the Great Lawn of Mount Alverno Center for the 5th Annual June Tent Party. St. Anthony Community Hospital and the Warwick Valley Rotary Club hosted this evening of dining and dancing on June 4. Leo Kaytes, Jr. and Cindy Vander Plaat were the event's co-chairs.

Funds raised from the party will support St. Anthony Community Hospital and The Rotary. The Bon Secours Warwick Health Foundation will use proceeds to enhance and expand the services it provides community members at St. Anthony Community Hospital. Tent Parties in past years have supported facilities' improvements throughout the Warwick Healthcare Campus, including renovations of patient and resident rooms at Schervier Pavilion, the rehabilitation facility, andMount Alverno Center, the adult living program.

The Warwick Valley Rotary will use funds to support local organizations, its college scholarship fund for Warwick students and its sponsorship of the Warwick Valley High School Interact Club. Warwick Rotarians are area residents who work together to create positive influences locally and globally. They help support about three-dozen non-profit organizations by giving time and financial donations. All funds donated to Warwick Rotary are given back to people in need.

During the event, CloudNYne Band brought guests to the dance floor. An auction with items that included something for everyone, dinners, jewelry, and plenty for the golf-fans, rounded out the evening with competitive but friendly bidding.

"The Tent Party is a wonderful way for our community to show its support for local health care and for other important organizations in Warwick," said Leo Kaytes.  "Thank you to all of the people who made the evening so successful!"
