Dr. Kwon is a Board Certified surgeon. He received his medical education at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York and had his surgical residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles . He has over 20 years of laparoscopic surgery experience. He has performed over 2,000 laparoscopic weight loss surgeries. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He is currently the Chief of Surgery and the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Bon Secours Community Hospital. He is now also the Medical Director of Bariatric Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY.
