angiography/interventional radiology
Interventional Radiology procedures take place in the Angiography suite at Good Samaritan Hospital. Interventional Radiology, commonly referred to as IR, utilizes many non-surgical and minimally invasive studies as an alternative to open surgical procedures. These procedures involve small incisions and minimal pain allowing for a shorter recovery time than in the past and a smoother experience for the patient.
Examples of procedures performed at Good Samaritan Hospital include angiography, angioplasty, percutaneous drainage, percutaneous biopsy, intravascular therapy, uterine fibroid embolization, and many others.
The Interventional Radiology Department is located on the first floor of the main hospital building.
