Physical Therapy can help you regain independence, mobility and strength after an illness or accident, such as an orthopedic injury, stroke, head injury, cardiac disease or cancer.
The Physical Therapy department staff works closely with you, providing quality sessions utilizing a combination of manual techniques, modalities (heat, ultrasound, electrical stimulation etc.) and state-of-the-art equipment to assist you in reaching your goals. Caring professionals who are licensed and registered in the State of New York staff the Physical Therapy department.
The Physical Therapy Program provides a wide range of services:
- Upper & Lower Extremity Evaluation
- Neck and Back Evaluation
- Gait & Balance Training
- Range of Motion Exercises
- Stretching & Strengthening Exercises
- Pain Management (including TENS evaluations)
- Posture Analysis
- Endurance Training
- Wound Care
A comprehensive evaluation is conducted by the Physical Therapy Department to design a treatment plan just for you. The treatment sessions are then approximately 15 minutes in length.
A referral by a physician is necessary. All insurance is accepted by the hospital. Please check with your individual carrier.
Inpatient Physical Therapy is located on the third floor of the hospital and is open from Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm and on Saturdays from 8am to 12pm.
